Default Newbie in MS - 2009 S Clubman

Hello! The car is actually for my daughter. Had it a week and timing chain failed at ~60k miles. I spent around $1000 in parts and tools and repaired it myself. Tossed in some extras like both water pumps, thermostat housing, spark plugs, etc. Back on the road for a couple of weeks now and running smoothly.

Welcome to MINI Cooper Forums. What a great purchase for your daughter. I'm sure she will love the R55. Next time you do any repairs please be sure to check out some of our R56 tech articles as they may be helpful. Make sure she checks the oil on a regular basis as low oil can cause the "death rattle" timing chain/tensioner issue. Let me know if you have any questions.
