Just getting the cash together to purchase a used mini. I will be looking for the turbo models, but wondering what year or any issues I should be aware of. Any help would be appreciated....Thanks in advance....Joseph from SoCal....

Wow....what a difference on this forum vs forums for Duramax trucks. If I would have asked the same question in my original post I would have received dozens of posts with recommendations....Here nothing.....I did find information myself.....Do not buy a mini with a CVT transmission...So I quess I will be sticking with my first pick a 6 spd.

Sorry about the reply rate Joseph! Do you already have a few cars you're looking at?

Looking for a turbo model....most likely not a JCW because of the extra cost. I will be adding performance mods since I seem to do that to all vehicles I have. I see that your in SoCal....does your company complete the mods or are most DIY projects? I'm not concerned about CARB and understand some mods may require removal every two years to get the smog cert. Any help would be appreciated....Joseph

Majority DIY stuff like replacing an alternator in an MCS for example. We also do have some performance stuff - check us out at the link below. What mods were you looking into? Exhaust? Tune?

I will be doing mods once I acquire my Mini. My usual upgrades on my vehicles include Intake/Exhaust/Performance tuning. Usually these types of upgrades not only increase power, but also performance.
