Ok now I have a few questions
I have a problem with the passenger seat not moving forward.
Took it to Patrick mini in Schaumberg and they said it would be $800.00 to replace the bracket for the seat.
Does that seem right?
Then as they drove the car around they said the car needed a new clutch and the passenger strut may be blown because the strut tower was alittle bowed and not flat like the drivers side.
Now I just picked up the car and the small dealership said they just put a new clutch in the car since it blew on a test drive and they also had to replace the harmonic balancer.
They showed and gave me the old balancer and asked if I wanted to bad clutch as well.
I took the balancer but not the clutch.
Clutch seems to have good pressure but I noticed once and a while it is hard to get in gear without depressing the clutch again.
So if I need a clutch replaced are there any good shops in the chicagoland area. Patrick mini said $1800 to do the clutch with a stock clutch but if I have to do the clutch maybe I should upgrade?
Now its an 05' cooper s so which number is it as well.
Sorry for the newbie questions but I owned a lot of mopars these past few years and this is all new to me.
Thanks
Jason

I can give you the parts you need for the install of the clutch parts.
The strut tower have been know to mushroom in the past on first Gen MINI.
You will have to hammer down the strut tower a little.
Strut tower mushrooming repair - North American Motoring
Also check the upper strut mounts. They can sometimes tear.

Thanks and let me know if you need anything else.

You can also buy a seat track from a salvage yard. I found one in Iowa for $35. They can ship it to you. Used Auto Parts Market
So you are saying the dealer you bouhgt the car from replaced the clutch? If so, I would take it back to them and have them check it out.
