Default Transporting Large Gear with a MINI Any Tips Appreciated

Hey folks,

I’m planning to transport some fairly large gear, like a couple of heavy metal cabinets and machinery parts, and I’m wondering whether it’s even feasible in a small hatchback like a MINI.

I’m trying to figure out what’s involved if you attempt to transport oversized equipment with a compact car, what kind of extra support such as straps or padding is needed, how to pack for safety, and whether temporarily removing the rear seats or folding them down will make it workable.

Has anyone here tried to transport oversized equipment using their MINI? What worked, what didn’t?
