yes if you are putting on different rims/tires without the tpms sensors

if you are mounting tires on the stock rims with the sensors you'll have to reset them

and you should NEVER mount runflats without tpms sensors

i've got an 06 cooper S. i thought that the pressure sensor was actually just a sensor monitoring the rotation of the four tires not the actual pressure, thus if a tire was low, its diameter would be smaller making it turn faster in order to travel the same distance as the other tires. Am i wrong on this? If i am correct and all that it's doing is monitoring the rotation then i'd be safe to put my other wheels on wouldnt i? i have a set of 17" konig verdict wheels with winter tires on them from my 03 sentra that i used to have.
