Default Blown head gasket or more serious damage?

My 2009 Mini overheated in traffic and shut down on me. I was able to get it restarted and drive it to a parking lot.

I've now got milky oil and white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I drained the oil, left the drain plug out and added coolant to the reservoir...it ran straight through the engine and out the oil drain hole.

I'm new to Mini's. Is there anything that could be causing this aside from a blown head gasket, cracked head or cracked block?

When these engines overheat badly are they typically worth trying to rebuild, or are the heads and block prone to cracking?

Thank you.

Hi mate, sounds like a head gasket issue. It could be a hole in the block but I highly doubt it.

Let me know how you got/get on
