Default Clutch Replacement /2009 MINI Cooper S Convertible

I have 2009 MINI Cooper S Convertible with 34,000 miles on it and the clutch is starting to feel spongy. I'm looking to possibly replace it sooner than later. In the past on other vehicles I've always replaced the flywheel along with the clutch but for this year and model the cost is ridiculous. I plan on driving it quite a bit in the near future ( 30,000-50,000 a year till I decide to get rid of it) because of my job and I definitely don't want to have to deal with any additional issues after I installing the clutch. Should I just bite the bullet and get the flywheel or is this something that I shouldn't have to worry about.

I would just get the whole clutch kit new. You're absolutely right. You never want to worry about a small used part when all the other parts are brand new. Better to be safe than sorry.
