So while i'm waiting for my MAF to come I have just unplugged my current MAF so my car can be driveable. (i'm making sure to be very easy on it as i don't want to make it run to lean or rich with the stock fuel map)

so this works great for the most part. but i have noticed that once i have been driving for 20+ mins (engine fully warm) i get hesitation some times and can hear some pre-detonation or post detonation (i'm not really sure).

I'm not getting any knock code or anything when i do a check info on the cluster. (not even a maf error which is interesting. but the check engine light is on)

I also don't know if the hesitation is due to knock and the computer is advancing or retarding the timing.

anyone have any ideas or experienced this before?
