Unhappy Terminal 30A & Lighting Issue!

Hi, I have a 07 Cooper D, ive had it just over 18 months,

The battery started struggling so i had it changed and registered 2 weeks ago to my surprise the car was still using the original battery from new @ 130k.

A few days later I started getting intermittent issues with the indicators, then last week I got a whole host of error codes (12) at once from the footwell module.

ive scrolled through tons of forums and YouTube videos for help, the only thing ive found as an explanation is the light module going into emergency operation. whereby I only have the function of one light of each set??? Even after clearing the codes they instantly appear.

Ive checked all the fuses in the engine bay and drivers side footwell

checked all the bulbs and replaced the one license bulb that was out.

Disconnected the battery over night.

registered the battery for a second time just in case there was an issue with that

Ive had the light module replaced with an exact part number match as there was suspected water damage from the passenger footwell

cleaned the footwell connectors and the problem persists.

I am struggling with is to check areas associated with terminal 30A,

I have noticed that a wire leading from the IBS adapter on the negative from to the positive is slightly exposed

The problems did somehow go away at the weekend for 2 days, Then returned on Tuesday!!!

The error codes are

9CA9 (terminal 30A connection faulty)

9CB5 (deep discharge battery) after the new battery installed

A8C2, A8B9, A8B3, A8B0, A8AF, A8AA, A8A9, A8AD, A8AC, 9CB6

Please any help would be greatly appreciated

Ive attached some photos to help the explanation

Thanks in Advance

This is the best explanation could find online

Did you solve your issue? I'm having the very same problem as you described.

Hi, as luck would have it I actually got a message from my local garage yesterday saying that they managed to sort it. I won’t find out exactly what the issue was until I pick it up.

I did have to replace the light module which I managed to get an exact serial code match from eBay for £50 and I believe the garage just had someone come out and program it in for £200. I’ll confirm everything when I pick it up on Saturday as I’m away atm.
