Hi All,

I've been given a car from my brother as his wife has bought a new car. It's an 03 reg and is a 5 speed manual petrol.

I've driven it approx 20 miles and during that journey as I increased speed it felt like I could have been part of the Jetsons cartoon. For those that do not know what I'm talking about here is a Youtube clip -
Another issue is the driver window does not open, trying to open the window does not result in any sounds so at first I thought it was going to be a fuse issue which it wasn't.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to look at these 2 issues?

 

I have no clue to what that 1st issue could be. As far as your driver side window not going down it could be the motor is out.

 

1) Not a good description of your problem. I could guess, but that wouldn't help you.


2)Window motor or regulator. Hit the door panel with the side of your fist just rearward of the door release handle and see if the window will work. I had this issue with our 2002.
