Default Straight Pipes and Back Pressure

I was thinking about putting 3" straight pipes from a header w/o a cat on my R53. Do you think it's going to affect the back pressure so much that is saps some of my power from my low end?

yes I broke my pipes pre resonator and the car ran like crap add the huge 3" pipes it'll run worse

ok, thanks man. Any one have any sugestions on what diamater pipes/system is optimal, looking to improve low end.
