I am new to the Mini world having been given a 2004 Mini S. I have two new guy questions...

1. How do you determine what the R version of the car is and why would I need that designation?

2. I have what I believe is a common issue...the windows roll down when it gets rained on. I have tried to search this forum for that topic but I can not find anything on it. Perhaps I am using the search feature incorrectly.

I joined this forum to learn more about this car and to find some solutions for fixing it up. It is actually in very good condition and I can not believe how fun it is to drive. Any help for a new guy on the above questions would be greatly appreciated.
