Default Positive Feedback

I have been reading the help forums here the last several days and find it very interesting and informative, but I am begining to think about my decision to buy a used 2006 mini with 18K miles from a local dealer who found it online in an auction in Va. I hope my mini doesn't develop all the horror story problems that everyone is writing in about. I love driving this car it reminds me of a BMW 1600 I had years ago. It handles like a dream. The nearest dealer is 2 hours away and I didn't buy the car there either. Is there anyone out there who can rebuild my confidence in this machine? Before you ask me if I want a cup of shut the heck up, I'll end this.

I've had two 2006 MINIs and put a combined 35,000 miles on them in the last year and a half and have not had a single problem.

My current MCS isverymodified so, if it's not broken yours is safe. You're also still under waranty so sleep easy and enjoy driving the amazing machine you bought.

I think it is important to rember when you read any forum, it is a place where people go when they need help. So a large percentage of the posts are always going to adress problems. I think it is a testement to Mini's reliability that there aren't post after post of people asking what and how to fix. And a lot of the questions in this forum are about such major issues such as a squeeky glovebox.
Mini's will have problems, they are not immune. But I know several people with Minis. None have had problems, and they all love their car.
Buying a used anything, you are betting the previous owner was caring and intellegent being rather than some meathead who couildn't properly car for a tricycle. Most Mini owners probably fit the first description.

Thanks guys...I do feel better now. I filled the tank and drove 1671 miles on a 1/4 tank...wow using premium has made a big difference. Great day to drive in the north east, the trees are all turning red, yellow and orange.

Haha, just noticed that typo...yeah 167.1. Anyone else notice how everyone checks out your car when you pull into a parking lot?
