Default Grinding when turning right

Hi, I have a 2010 Mini Cooper S manual. Lately I have been hearing a grinding or clacking noise when I turn right. It doesn't do it when the clutch is in, or when the car is in neutral. Once I turn, i have to go straight for a few hundred feet before the noise goes away. It also doesn't make the noise when the car is on a lift. I have had two different mechanics look at it and neither can figure out the issue. Mechanic 1 thinks it may be a CV axle but isn't sure even after going over it for three hours. Mechanic 2 doesn't know what it is but is pretty sure it isn't the CV axle.

I would appreciate any help with this
Thanks.
