Default New member with question

First a bit about myself...I'm a grey haired guy that doesn't feel as old as my years (58).
I bought a 2002 mini cooper S a year ago (from another older guy). He only drove it on sunny summer days and I have been doing the same (never has seen rain or snow). It has only 30,000 km (approx. 18k miles). It has everyoption available when purchased new with the exception of sunroof. It also has JCW package.
I have a couple of questions...1. Did the JCW package include upgraded air intake or is it a separate buy.
2. Is a JCW brake upgrade available for 2002 model year. I've seen them advertised but always state they are for later model years.

Thanks for your help,
Chuck

Chuck, hope you are loving the Cooper S. By the way you have a Cooper S Works. Quite rare but very nice!!
The works kit contains: New Supercharger, New cylinder head, new air filter housing (dead easy to check open bonnet black box with john cooper works on it!) , new twin exit exhaust with john cooper works engraved tailpieces, new sparkplugs, new injectors and cooper works badges for front and rear. This is about an $8000 option fitted so you must have got a great deal and you now put out around 210bhp ish
Apparently the JCW brake kit is available BUT unless it is under MINI warranty, don't bother, they are slightly larger 1 pot calipers and different brake pads! There are much better brake kits out there that unless you have a mini warranty I would go for those. When mine is out of warranty I'm getting Porsche calipers on the front! Require different alloys but since 80% of braking is through the front they will make a world of difference!
Enjoy the car !!
