Default New to Mini Coopers

Hi! Just wanted to say Hi from Indiana. I am looking to purchase a 2013 Mini JCW Paceman, and thought I might find some tips here. Never owned a Mini, but they look pretty cool! Thanks!

Hello and welcome aboard! Glad to have you here. Congrats on your Mini, show it to us when you can. This forum really is a ton of help. With a little bit of research you can find an answer to all your questions.

Took the car for a test drive last night. The car ran and drove great! Lots more room than I expected. Quite a bit different view than in the Subie, but really nice! Also very different starting the car with a push button..never drove one with that before. Lots of switches and features to get used to.

Hope we can get this...would be a lot of fun.

BTW, is there a good online service manual for these cars? I would need one if I get the car. Thanks!

Got the car today, and love it! Like driving a go kart! Handles great, and is comfortable, with not too bad a ride for a car with stiff suspension. Still trying to figure everything out, like the driving lamps. It has a big set of factory lamps in front of the grill. We figured out that they only come on when the brights are on, and the switch down low on the left side is on. Boy you talk about bright! They need to be aimed, but they really light things up. What I'm trying to figure out is, there is an indicator lamp in the middle of the speedometer (regular speedo, not the nav system), to the right of the fog lamp indicator. Should this come on when the driving lamps come on, or is this for something else?
