Newbie about to buy a R60S - 2015
Help, I'm so new I don't even have this Countryman yet.
And have too much experience with BMW and all that goes wrong with them. And also delight in how they drive... someone please talk me out of buying this 128,000 km 2015, fully optioned beast.
I've had or still have e36 m3, e46 touring, e46 m3, 2010 X3, 2009 335d. And have had the motor (and trans) out of the touring, m3 and 335d. Working out of my 2 car garage at home.
Assuming I'm going to need:
walnut blast / cleaning valves
oil catch can so I don't have to do it again for a while
turbo oil lines
timing chain and guides
coolant hose upgrade
coolant system upgrade - thermostat housing, water pump,
aluminum valve cover
suspension - sway bar links, ball joints
clutch - throw out bearing, (i'd think the pp and flywheel good for 200,000 kms?)
evap system, ccv, air oil separator - bmw good at making these last 100,000 kms
)
normal wear and tear - brakes, bearings, drive shafts, change all fluids,
