Hello All,

I am looking to purchase either a 2006 Mini Cooper S with 60,000 miles or a 2009 S model with 71,000 miles. Both are basically the same price. Car fax on the 09' says minor damage in back right from collision. This worries me that there is more to the story than told. Shouldn't the 09' be much higher? Which would you go for?

I have never owned a Mini so are there any special maintenance issues (supercharger related?) that arise that I would not normally see with other cars; premium fuel? synthetic oil?

Does either the 2006 model or 2009 model seem to have more bugs?

If you are not comfortable checking the 2 out go have them inspected by an independent shop that works on Mini's. The 06 is low mileage, the 09 is high mileage. That will impact the price. Does either one have service records available?
