Default AC/Heater Blower Not Working

Hi, I have a 2006 Mini-cooper and at one point I tried turning on my AC but no air comes out. I put it to either 1, 2, 3, or 4 to see if any air would come out but nothing. AC led button would not turn on either.

It seems that the blower stopped working for my AC/Heater. Even regular vent air would not work.

It had worked a couple of times where I left it on at level 4 and it suddenly started blowing cold air.

I checked the fuse that is located under the steering wheel and the fuse for the blower seems to be good. I even replaced it with the spare and it worked one time when I took the mini for a drive. But now it is dead again.

Any ideas on what to look for?

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thx.

Did anyone get an answer to this. The mini garage is saying a replacement fan at around £400 including labour because they've got to take the dash out.

A replacement auxiliary fan? If you need cheaper parts we might have some here that work for you: PelicanParts.com - Mini Cooper & Cooper S (R50/R52/R53) - Ventilation & A/C. There are also a lot of DIY's out there that could help you do it yourself it you feel up to it.

Thanks for the link. The garage finally came back and accepted the fix under warranty - which is great because the DIY sounded a nightmare - dashboard out.
