should I buy a mini?

Now, now Jester! If you say anything negative, you're not being objective!
I find it incredibly insulting that you would make a remark like that without even knowing what the issues are. For one thing, the AC blowing scalding hot air for 5-10 minutes sometimes after the car is started. Of course, I'm sure it's just because I don't know how to turn it on.
Read English much? Apparently not. I compared the fuel economy, not the performance. My only comment about the acceleration is that the Mini is a slug - which it is. I get passed by low-end Kias and Hyundais as I am accelerating to highway speed. The thing will run as fast as I want - once it gets there. Living in an area where AC is pretty much a year-round proposition doesn't help.
I would love to hear details about the auto climate control and computer. These are usually a lack of knowledge about how the units were meant to work.
Comparing the acceleration of a Sedan the size of a Chrysler LH and a MINI is silly of course they won't be the same and as for fuel mileage, unless this was an automatic you are driving mostly city stop and go and aren't driving moderately at all.
