Default R56 P1497 and misfire codes

I was recently driving my 08 Mini Cooper S (R56), and the engine light came on and it suddenly started running really rough. I checked the engine codes and P1497 (downstream throttle air leak), P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 and P0304 (misfire codes) were logged. Cleared codes, restarted engine, and all codes and rough running immediately came back.

I popped the hood and pushed on all of the ignition coils. All of them were raised slightly. Pushed them back down, restarted car, and left car running. Ignition coils were again raised up slightly. Pushed them back in with car running and they popped back up again. While holding them down, I could feel that there was pressure below valve cover.

Did some searching online and found that the combination of codes might indicate an issue with the pcv, which is built into the $300 valve cover. I checked the hose on the rear passenger side of the valve cover using air pressure, and there are no cracks or leaks.

Is there anything else that I should look at before spending money on a new valve cover?

Thanks!

You might have one or more issues at foot. I'd do a smoke test and check for a vacuum leak. Diagnose your issue before throwing parts at it.
